Interior of St. Mark's

This is a 1-point perspective drawing I made for an assignment in my Drawing I class here at MCAD. It started with a trip for a couple hours to a church called St. Mark's here in Minneapolis, where everybody in the class began drawing a spot of their choice inside the church sanctuary. I chose this spot and tried to map out all the basic elements in the couple of hours I had there (in graphite). Then, in the remainder of the class time we had for the day, and as homework, we were to complete the drawing using two pens of ink. This took at least 18 hours for me, and I didn't quite drain the second pen, but I came close. Also, I was working from a photograph I had taken while in the church, so it wasn't really hard to draw in all of the details, which I felt kind of guilty about. But hey, if I had sat in that church for 18 hours, I think my drawing would have ended up pretty close to this anyway.

I'm pretty proud of the drawing overall, and my teacher and some of my class really liked it also, so that's cool...
